Week Ten
To begin lab today we took a formative assessment. Then, we talked about the sweater article from last week; it was interesting to hear my peer's ideas on it. We then moved into discussing the law of superposition, which is basically just the principle of knowing the relative age of each rock layer. We did a fun "Who Dunnit" activity where we used the law of superposition to figure out who stole the last cookie. We then looked at a geologic version to try and figure out which came first. We then got to play around with the microscope, and it was cool to look at different things. I learned a lot about how things look close up versus far away. I also learned a lot about how to implement the law of superposition when looking at different things and I am going to try and use and implement it more often.
